High Quality Care

Gulf Stream School has a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner on staff who aims to provide compassionate and high quality care to GSS students. Often, you will see an NP in a pediatric office, however, at GSS, our NP acts as the first point of care ensuring student health and safety.

In addition to being the primary contact for all matters related to covid-19, and tending to injuries and illnesses, the NP may communicate with the family and/or pediatrician to initiate or participate in plans of care for a student; including but not limited to immunizations, medication, common illnesses, and well-child exams. And may also communicate with teachers, counselors, or other faculty members regarding the student and any potential illness or concerns.
